In order to truly accomplish more and grow your business, you must strategically plan on getting help. Teams come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and the reality is, you will need a team.

In today's podcast, we go over the main fears of building a team and some hints to overcome them.

Episode Highlights

Reason 1: No money

Most businesses starting out have more time than money and you must do everything yourself. The first step in realizing your business' growth depends on building the right team is viewing help as an investment instead of an expense. Find ways to make your money go further by delegating small projects first. An hour or two each week of delegated work makes a huge impact on your productivity.

Reason 2: No trust

The perception that no one can do as good as a job as you can is the wrong rabbit hole to go into. Yes, you may hear horror stories, but start delegating tasks a little at a time. Do your homework before hiring someone. This doesn't always eliminate bad things from happening, but how you plan separation of duties and processes will help you identify issues should they arise.

Reason 3: No time

You may tell yourself that you are too busy to look for or train a new person to help. It would be just quicker if it did it myself. Getting stuck on that hamster wheel will lead to exhaustion and burn out. Indeed, finding the perfect person or people is hard, but always be on the look-out of qualified people that can help you in small projects. Develop cheat sheets and/or video tutorials on your processes to streamline training.

Reason 4: Loss of Control

Letting go and beginning to not know what is going on with every little piece of your business is scary, no doubt. You must shift your thinking on all the details and focus on outcomes.
