Several weeks ago, before the news broke in the spread of the Coronavirus, I had a wonderful conversation with Marshall Townsend. Marshall is a leadership coach, speaker, and consultant from Boise, Idaho. He's been coaching leaders for over 20 years in a variety of capacities.

I met Marshall through participating in programs facilitated by our mutual mentor, Mike Kim.

I contemplated whether I would share the interview this week or not because of all the stuff going on in the news. After listening to the recording again, I knew this was the perfect time to share and introduce you to Marshall.

In the interview, Marshall shares what it means to Mark Your Ball. He illustrates the analogy between living life on the driving range vs. out on the course.

When I listened to my and Marshall's conversation again, I realized that his message is more relevant than ever!

You see, many of us play it safe and stay on the driving range, not taking the risks of what's out there on the course. Today's events are making many of us move from the comfort of the driving range right onto the uncertainty of the course...and most likely, not by our choice.

Even if you aren't an avid golf player, you'll relate to Marshall's message. I don't even play golf and know little about the game, yet his message really hit home.

I do hope you enjoy our conversation.

Enjoy as Marshall Townsend tells us what it means to Mark Your Ball and how to navigate the course outside your comfort zone.
